5.0 What a way to spend the morning. I’ve been coming to Ios for over 15 years- on George’s e-bike tour, I not only learnt so many new things about the island and its history, but also saw it from new vantage points.
The morning was topped off with a trip to George’s land to pick up some mid-ride snacks fresh from his fig, and grape trees!

4.0 È stata una bellissima esperienza, la guida era super disponibile e attrezzata, molto informato sulla storia e con tutto quello che ci occorreva anche per il caldo (acqua e snack). Dopo una breve spiegazione sul funzionamento delle bici abbiamo iniziato il tour. La vista era magnifica, i paesaggi mozzafiato, con disponibilità di riprendere le energie e fare foto. La storia che ci accompagnava alla fine del tour, spiegata dalla nostra guida dettagliatamente, sulla tomba di Omero era davvero istruttiva. Un po' faticoso ma ne è valsa la pena.

Hotel pick up and drop off ✅ The island story telling was animated and interesting ✅ George worked the trip to be within our fitness level (almost on par with his 😜) ✅ Showed us much of the farming culture along with a trip to a cheese maker (with tasters). ✅ Overall we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐

5.0 The Highlight Of My Visit To Ios This excursion was brilliant. George, my guide, was a wealth of information. He has written books about Ios, it's pathways, history and folklore. En route to the cheesery, we stopped and visited land owned by him where he is growing olives, pomegranate, almonds, grapes, oregano to name but a few. The ebike was first class and needed to be as we ascended steeply towards the cheesery, pausing occasionally to take pictures of the astounding views and listen while George continued to inform with a raft of background facts and stories.
The cheesery was superb! Our hostess showed us around ancient dwellings, grain mills, old tools of the trade used, up until very recently, by generations of family cheese makers. The Cheese platter was adorable with 7 or 8 different cheeses, different types of honey, a salad with all local produce, washed down with a glass or 2 of a fine local Rosé. Our route back was particularly pleasant, partly because it was downhill pretty much all the way and partly because of the spectacular views and photo opportunities afforded by our descent. We clocked 27km for the round trip and as a man of pensionable age, I have to say it wasn't too physical at all.
Do yourself a favour, book it up and go, you will not be disappointed

5.0 George took us all over the north side of the island. He was very knowledgeable about the island, it's history and legends. We had a fabulous time and he is a wonderful guide!

5.0 Amazing tour, great guide! The tour was great! Easily worth the money and time spent. George went above and beyond with the service!
The walk was great, we were shown a variety of archaeological, historical and cultural sites that helped you understand Ios more. George introduced us to some locals as well to give a bit more depth to what he was showing us.
If you’re thinking of booking this I would 100% recommend it! You’ll go away knowing more about the island and the people of Ios.

5.0 Great idea to learn about the island and its history. George, besides being a great expert on the island and its history, accompanied us with his friendliness and his inevitable snacks! The visit and tasting at the dairy is not to be missed!

5.0 Just book it! My friends and I all agreed that this was the most worthwhile thing we’ve ever done on a vacation. Our guide, George, was not only knowledgeable about the history of the island but also very funny and personable. I learned so much about Ios. The tour lasted 4-5 hours with a 1500 ft elevation gain in 81 degree weather. George came prepared with lots of water for everyone as well as dried figs as a snack, grown from his own trees. He also had powdered electrolytes to make sure no one got dehydrated. The cheesery had amazing cheese and wine as well as a fun tour with explanation of the history of the cheesery and how it’s changed throughout the generations.
You should have good cardiovascular health to do this activity but don’t need to be an expert on a bike at all the electric component makes the trek up the mountain doable.

5.0 Beautiful, moderately challenging e-bike ride. George is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge about Ios and Greece overall. We had an excellent time on the bike ride and highly recommend him and his ride!
