Description.
1. Village, Homer’s tomb, Byzantine Castle, Diaseli Cheesery, Village
Starting from Ios Village we will drive to the Plakotos area where according to tradition, the great poet Homer was buried. We will then visit Palaiokastro where we will talk about the history and traditions of the island. Finally, we will taste delicious cheese, at the traditional Diaseli Cheesery and we will return to Ios Village.
Approximately 40 km, 4,5 hours
Orienteering Events
Orienteering events are carried out on demand for groups of 10-20 people, at Mylopotas beach. We provide you with special maps and compasses and after the initial briefing, the contestants start looking for points.

C. Chora, prehistoric settlement of Skarkos, Homers tomb, Diaseli Cheesery
Starting from Chora, we will visit the prehistoric settlement of Skarkos where we will talk about the history and traditions of the island. We will leave our bicycles and walk for a few meters to admire the traditional path. We will then cycle towards Homer’s tomb where according to tradition the great poet was buried. We will visit Diaseli traditional Cheesery for cheese tasting and return to Chora from the area of Pano Kampos admiring the landscape.
B. Chora, prehistoric settlement of Skarkos, Diaseli Cheesery
Starting from Chora we will visit the archaeological site of Skarkos where we will talk about the history and traditions of the island. We will leave our bicycles and walk for a few meters to admire the traditional path. Then we will take our bikes and cycle to Diaseli traditional Cheesery for cheese tasting. We will return to Chora from the area of Pano Kampos admiring the landscape.

4. Chora, Odysseus Elytis theatre, Diaseli traditional Cheesery for cheese tasting
A challenging route, that will reward the guest with the amazing landscape and the visit to the dairy. We will start from Chora and move towards the Odysseas Elytis Theatre, where we will admire Mylopotas beach. We will move in a circular path and we will meet old houses and churches, witnesses of another era. We will stop for a tasting at the traditional Diaseli Cheese Factory and after enjoying fresh cheese and wine, we will return to Chora by path, admiring Mylopotas.
3. Chora, Skarkos archaeological site, Hellinica, Hagia Triada, Hagios Prokopis, Hagios Spyridon, Chora
This route is ideal for lovers on nature. We will start from Chora of Ios and after passing by the prehistoric settlement of Skarkos we will move in a circular direction observing the nature and admiring the landscape. We will get to know the customs and traditions of the place and learn old stories from the locals.
